Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before. Joshua 3:4
There comes a point in your life when you realize that there are great changes in store for you and your family. As you begin to examine the Word of the Lord and begin to hear that still small voice, you cant help but be ambitious about what He has been speaking to you.
Joshua, knew that great things where coming for the nation of Israel. After a whole generation had perished in light of their disobedience, Joshua was ready to step into a role that would lead the nation into what God had prepared for them.
This land was foreign to the nation. Joshua and Caleb were the only two whom had seen the land with their own two eyes. They knew exactly what they were getting into. They knew the people. They knew the state of the crops. But most of all they had heard the word of the Lord bidding them to step out in Faith.
How could we have peace during a season like this? When God is calling you to something foreign? When the Lord is speaking to you daily concerning the plans he has for you which are not evil, but produce a hope for the future?
The Peace is supplied by the founding source of your calling. Many times, the Lord encouraged Joshua to be strong and of good courage. Many times, God reminded Joshua to stay the course. Why? Because it was what the Lord had already prepared for him, that he should walk in it and be fruitful.
When the Lord is calling you to uncharted land, remember that He is preparing both you and the land he is calling you to conquer.
