On the day before conception, how did Jesus see the World? Was He disgusted? Was He burdened? Did His heart break? Did He set up a wall to protect His dwelling place? Did He create executive orders to make Heaven less accessible?

If Jesus had looked at the world as deplorable, inherently evil, and a lost cause, we would be savior-less today. If someone, didnt put aside their differences to show us what true love is, we wouldn’t be able to define hope correctly. If God didn’t put aside His Self Righteousness, we wouldn’t know what it‘s like to be set free.

Think about that for a second. In order for Jesus to be 100% obedient to the call of God in His life, He had to put away the things he knew. Jesus had to put aside the comfort of Heaven. He had to live a perfect and sinless life, and then feel the conviction of every sin the world has ever committed.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

“Him who knew no sin”. Him who was perfect in the sight of God. Him who was 100% obedient. Him who had never broken the heart of God. Him who met the standard of Holiness, both in Heaven and on Earth.

“Became sin for us”. Became the enemy of God. Broke the perfect relationship He had with his Father. He was abandoned by His Father at the cross for carrying out the plans in a perfect manner. Why?

“That we might become the righteousness of God in Him”. That our debt would be paid in full. That the wrath that we deserved would be removed by the Grace He purveys. That the journey to Heaven would be bridged by the cross.

Jesus saw our sinfulness, saw our rebellion, saw “the world in error pining”, and nothing held him back from coming into our world. Jesus was willing to tear down the walls that seperated us and Him. He was different, and He put that aside to rescue those who were different. So what’s it going to be? Are we going to put aside our comforts, our differences, our self-inflicted-labels, and reach those who are different than us? Or is that Un-Jesus-Like.
